Learn a new language

The ability to communicate in more than one language is a highly valued skill that sets you apart from the crowd.

As a student at Reading, you can learn another language for your own personal development and enjoyment or, in some cases, as a module that's worth 20 credits towards your degree.

We offer courses at different levels for a range of languages, from European languages to Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese and Russian, as well as an introduction to British Sign Language.
