Background
Professor Dikmen carries out research at the interface of engineering, management, and information sciences. Her research interests relate to construction project management, mainly risk management. She uses systems thinking approach, digital technologies and AI to manage risk in the built environment, particularly to enhance megaproject success, climate resilience, and social value in infrastructure systems. She conducts research to explore actuality of projects and develop decision-support systems/tools in collaboration with industrial partners. Based on her professional experience within the industry as a consultant, her vision has been to carry out constructive research that demonstrates added value for the industry, communities and contributes to sustainable development goals.Academic qualifications
