CLINICS AND CENTRES

The school houses three NHS clinics, as well as independent Autism centre. Our research centres have an international reputation for research in several areas including child development and psychopathology, neuroscience and clinical training. 

CLINICS

Anxiety and Depression in Young People Research Unit (AnDY)

The AnDY Research clinic, assesses and treats young people aged between 7-17 years for anxiety and depressive disorders, as well as undertaking research into the development, maintenance and treatment of such disorders. It is one of the top research clinics in the UK.

Berkshire Memory and Cognition Research Centre (BMCRC)

The Berkshire Memory and Cognition Research Centre, is a joint venture between the University of Reading and Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust (BHFT), to foster interdisciplinary research into innovation approaches and solutions for dementia.

Centre for Autism

The Centre for Autism is a regional hub for clinic services and research on autism. It offers autism diagnostic services and interventions, as well as tailored training and consultation for various organisations.

Speech and Language Therapy Clinic

The Speech and Language Therapy clinic is a free, independent clinic that runs within the academic year and is open to adult and paediatric client groups with a wide range of speech, language and communication difficulties.

Charlie Waller Institute (CWI)

The Charlie Waller Institute is a leading provider of training in evidence-based psychological treatments.

Centre for Literacy and Multilingualism (CELM)

The Centre for Literacy and Multilingualism is a research centre that focuses on literacy and multilingualism.

Centre for Integrative Neuroscience and Neurodynamics

The Centre for Integrative Neuroscience and Neurodynamics investigates the dynamical interactions that bring about human thought and behaviour.

Thames Valley Clinical Trials Unit (TVCTU)

The Thames Valley Clinical Trials Unit (TVCTU) is an exciting collaboration between the University of Reading, the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust and the Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.  The TVCTU exists to support a step change in clinical research capability within the Thames Valley.
