IFP Ambassador Scholarship - New!

A new IFP Ambassador scholarship for applicants to the International Foundation Programme (IFP) has just been announced. The scholarship will provide a £2500 discount of tuition fees for the IFP year and is open for all non-sponsored international fee paying students to apply.

The number of scholarships available is limited and so interested applicants will need to submit a scholarship application. This application will involve submitting a 3000 character essay explaining their suitability as an IFP Ambassador. Being an IFP Ambassador involves upholding the values of the programme through high academic engagement and may involve taking part in promotional activities telling prospective students about the experience of being on the IFP.

How to apply

To apply for the IFP Ambassador Scholarship, students will need to have applied for a place on the IFP and accepted their offer.

Applications must be submitted through the Me@Reading Applicant portal via the button below.

Application submission deadlines:

  • IFP September entry: 4th August 2019
  • IFP January entry: 24th November 2019
  • IFLP July entry: 9th June 2019
  • IFLP September entry: 4th August 2019

Applicants for the International Foundation and Language Programme (IFLP) as well as IFP with July, September and January entry starts will be able to apply.

Applicants from Nigeria, the Middle East, North Africa and Kazakhstan will receive an IFP Scholarship applied as a discount to their tuition fees. Look at the country-specific information below to check your eligibility for an IFP Scholarship.

How will I receive the Scholarship?

The discount is automatically applied to the tuition fees of eligible students for the foundation year only in the year of entry 2019/2020. To receive the Scholarship discount, applicants must accept their IFP offer and enrol on their chosen IFP course.

If you are a sponsored student and a separate discount on tuition fees has been agreed between the sponsor and the University of Reading, then only one discount or scholarship will apply and this will be whichever discount is to the highest value.

Nigeria scholarship

Students from Nigeria are eligible for a discount of £2500 on their IFP foundation year tuition fees.

Kazakhstan Scholarship

Students from Kazakhstan are eligible for a discount of £1500 on their IFP foundation year tuition fees.

North Africa Scholarship

Students from North Africa are eligible for a discount of £2500 on their IFP foundation year tuition fees.

Students domiciled in these countries will receive the Scholarship:

Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia

Middle East Scholarship

Students from the Middle East are eligible for a discount of £2500 on their IFP foundation year tuition fees.

Students domiciled in these countries will receive the Scholarship:

Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Yemen

China and Hong Kong January Entry IFP Scholarship

IFP Student PhotoStudents domiciled in China and Hong Kong joining our 2020 January Entry IFP are eligible for a £1000 discount on their tuition fees for the IFP.

The discount will be automatically applied to the IFP tuition fees when the eligible student accepts their IFP offer and enrols on the 2020 January Entry IFP.
