Reading offers superb transport connectivity. Reading provides 200 trains a day to London, with frequent Elizabeth Line services into central London. The nearby M4 motorway provides superb road access to nearby Heathrow Airport, London, Bristol and the UK road network.

As you enter the Science Park you will see the Gateway Building on your left. Follow the road to the main car park and then to report to reception in the Gateway Building and sign in with your car registration. 

By train

The nearest rail stations are Earley, which is a 15 minute (2.9 mile) cycle to the north‐east. Covered and secure cycle parking is available at the station where regular and frequent services operate between Reading and London Waterloo operated by South West Trains.

Similarly, Green Park station is located 22 minutes (3.9 miles) cycle to  the  west  of  the development site and facilitates access to services along the Basingstoke to Reading line.

Reading Station 24 minutes (4.3 miles) by cycle and is accessible on a number of different lines, giving you quick access to London via GWR and Elizabeth Line services, the South East/West and Midlands. 

By bus

The 3 Leopard and 600 bus routes provide a frequent service to and from key destinations within Reading such as the rail station, town centre, the Royal Berkshire Hospital and the University of Reading’s main Campus  at Whiteknights. These services compliment the other bus routes operating in Shinfield and Lower Earley that also provide frequent services to Reading and Wokingham.

From Reading Station these are: 

  • Leopard 3 bus from Station Road (stop SA) towards Shinfield leopard 3 - Reading Station to Wokingham via Royal Berkshire Hospital, Shinfield, Arborfield | Reading Buses
  • Meeroak Park and Ride 600 service (stop SD) towards Shinfield Mereoak p&r 600 - Central Reading - Spencers Wood/Riseley/Mereoak P&R via RIBP | Reading Buses 

Both stop outside TVSP Gateway with regular services throughout the day.   

The journey takes around 30 mins (9 stops) and buses are every hour. See the Reading Buses website for details. 

By cycle network

New cycle and pedestrian routes have linked the Thames Valley Science Park up to key transport hubs and community facilities. 

Cycle from TVSP to:

  • University of Reading Whiteknights Campus – 15 minutes (2.6 miles)
  • Winnersh Triangle station – 16 minutes (3.2m)  
  • Earley Station – 15 minutes (2.9 miles)  
  • Green Park Station – 22 minutes (3.9 miles)  
  • Reading Station – 24 minutes (4.3 miles) 
  • School Green (Shinfield) Centre – 7 minutes (1.3 miles) 
  • Lower Earley Retail Centre - 7 minutes (1.1 miles)
