Mission

Our mission is to provide facilities and social events to enable staff interaction and so enhance their quality of life.

Vision

A key feature of university life is the promotion of staff inclusivity in diversity. The SCR aims to support this as a club, by serving as a social focus for all staff. At Whiteknights we have a Newspaper and Coffee Lounge including a coffee machine, a Meeting Room and a wine shop. At London Road, Acacias provides a Lounge with coffee machine. These facilities offer our members quiet spaces for relaxation and reading, and also opportunities for social interaction across our various academic disciplines. We combine these amenities with a varied programme of social events. Our vision is to provide a vibrant collegial environment for staff from all sectors of our University to enhance their wellbeing.
