Events

The SCR organises an annual calendar of events for members and guests. 

Members and guests who take part in SCR events are asked to note that they do so at their own risk, and neither the SCR nor its members accept liability for any mishaps.

To have a look at past social programmes, here are the type of events that we organise: 

a) Pre-pandemic: 2019 Autumn and 2020 Spring schedules

b) During the pandemic: 2020 Autumn and 2021 Spring schedules.

Whisky Tasting & Burns Night

Friday 26 January

Acacias Lounge, London Road Campus, 7.00-10.00pm

Whisky Tasting with Burns Night readings and celebrations of the Bard’s work!

Live entertainment including readings and music themed around Burns’ work and life.

Bookings and payment of £30.00 per member and £35.00 per guest to Charlene McGroarty in the SCR Office: scr@reading.ac.uk.  

Please note a maximum of 25 people can attend this event so book early to avoid disappointment. 

Your booking cannot be confirmed until payment has been received (bank details will be provided to those who register).
