Food & drink in the LRC

Food is not permitted in the LRC study areas. The only exceptions are bottled water and drinks in sealed or lidded containers.

Please ensure that any food items remain inside your bag while you are in the LRC.

Why this policy is important

• To maintain a clean and comfortable study environment for all users.

• To protect library materials, furniture and equipment from damage.

• To ensure staff can focus on supporting your learning and managing library resources.

If the rules are not followed

• LRC staff may ask users to stop eating or remove food from the study area.

• Any uncovered drinks or food left on tables may be removed by staff.

• Users may be required to pay for any damage caused to LRC materials or property.

• Repeated breaches of the LRC rules may result in further action, including restriction of access to LRC facilities.
