We are grateful to anyone who wishes to donate material to the LRC. However, we can only accept it if it enhances our ability to fulfil our collection policies or if it is of particular historical value or rarity.
Donations are accepted on the understanding that they become the property of the University and that we are not obliged to keep material which turns out to be unsuitable on examination. We regret we are unable to return items that we cannot keep.
How do I donate to the LRC?
If you are considering donating books or other materials to the LRC please contact us in advance. A list of the items being offered is particularly useful to help us assess your collection. If possible this should include the author, title, edition and date of publication.
Unfortunately we cannot accept gifts if they have not been pre-assessed by LRC staff.
If you are considering making a monetary donation to the LRC, please contact T.M. Wong, Head of the LRC.
