From April 2017 until Autumn 2019 Library services operate over two buildings: most study space and services are located in the URS Building; printed materials are still available in the adjacent Library Building, plus some study space. This is to provide a quieter working environment whilst the Library Refurbishment Project continues.  Please note that that study space in the URS Building is usually busiest between 11:00 and 16:00 Monday to Friday - see Study space across campus for alternative places to work.

Our full range of services (including registrations) is usually available 9-5 Mon-Thu and 10-5 on Friday. Before making a special trip, please check our Term-time service levels page for details of services and facilities available at different times of the day or contact us in advance.

Details of any emergency changes to our opening hours (e.g. due to adverse weather) will be posted on our News blog, Twitter feed and homepage. 

Restricted access for non-members during University Examinations period

From Saturday 6 April until Friday 14 June 2019 access for non-members is restricted to weekends only. This must be arranged in advance. Please email library@reading.ac.uk giving at least 24 hours notice with details of which day you plan to visit and we will arrange for Security staff to give you entry.   

Access Monday to Friday is not possible.
