Running an interactive session - Getting started with webinars

Dialogue and interaction have been identified as two essential aspects of effective online teaching and learning (Stephenson and Coomey, 2001).

This short session explores the key features of interactive webinars, inviting participants to examine what being 'interactive' means, why is it important and how to make such interactions meaningful. We'll invite you to consider what your autumn teaching 'live' sessions might look like in practice, and signpost further guidance and support, so that you can design and plan effective and engaging tasks for your students when using webinars in your teaching and learning context.

This session aligns to A1, A2, A4 and K1-4 of the UKPSF.
