Food Thermal Processing Course

Food Thermal Processing Workshop is organised by the Food

Processing Centre, University of Reading, UK.

01-02 October 2019

This two day course presents the theory of thermal processing principles supplemented by tutorials and practical sessions. You will gain hands-on experience of pasteurisation, UHT and in-container processing (sterilisation) and have an opportunity to prepare and thermally process a variety of food products. Thermal processing equipment (Pasteurisation plant, UHT plant, and Retort) will be utilised in the practical sessions.

The course is ideal for businesses and individuals looking to develop a more fundamental understanding of thermal processing principles. The course helps delegates to identify critical decision-making factors essential to thermal process establishment.

The practical sessions allow delegates to apply the science principles in a laboratory and pilot plant environment.
