Our one-year Master's degree is designed to be flexible, allowing you to select modules that will provide you with knowledge and skills in a specialist area of your choice.
Under the guidance of an experienced researcher, you will undertake practical and theoretical research and complete lecture-based coursework that complements your project.
All students must complete 150 credits:
- 120 credits MSc Chemistry Research Project
- 10 credits Postgraduate Chemistry Research Methods and Skills
- 20 credits of optional modules
At the end of this programme, you will have gained experience in the development of research methods and skills by completing an independent project within one of our three research themes. You will also have acquired a number of transferable skills, including organisation and time management, communication, information handling, numeracy, problem solving and team work. Many graduates of this programme go on to pursue a career in Research and Development.
