Upkeep of teaching collections (Cole Museum, Herbarium and Archaeology*)

SERVICES INCLUDE...

• Provision of 0.1FTE resource per collection
• Assisting with making acquisitions where required
• Recording and managing database
• Assisting with arranging for transfers and loans
• Maintaining specimens/samples and associated equipment
• Undertaking disposal where required
• Health and Safety training and PPE for technical staff using preservation materials

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED

• Training costs for non-Health and Safety courses associated with maintenance of the collection

WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR SERVICE USERS

• SOPs that describe the processes and procedures associated with upkeep of collections
• 2 days' notice of access requirements to the collection, 2 weeks' notice if more than 10 specimens are required to be transported to a teaching location
• Risk assessments for upkeep of collection
