Responsibilities

I started work at UoR in December 2013, initially in the School of Chemistry, Food & Pharmacy as the Stores Assistant.

I started work at UoR in December 2013, initially in the School of Chemistry, Food & Pharmacy as the Stores Assistant.

As an Assistant Technician working in the laboratory stores area, my responsibilities include receipt and delivery of goods and stores service activities ensuring that goods are processed according to Standard Operating Procedures in a timely manner and in line with customer service training. This includes the supply and connection of gas cylinders, maintaining suitable levels of liquid nitrogen stock and the supply of lab consumables.

In addition, I undertake operations support activities, such as Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), ladder and trolley inspections and fork lift truck operation. I am also an Evacuation Officer and Fire Warden.
