Senior Technician - Teaching & Research

Responsibilities

I am based in Minghella studios and specialise in stage design/scenic art/ art installations and stage lighting. I am a graduate from Wimbledon school of Art in1998 BA hons in Technical Arts interpretation. I joined the University in 2003 and worked full time with Film Theatre and Television and TAEDS. I started working part time from 2009.

I work with undergraduates, PhD students and lecturers. I run workshops on stage design for all students and will help them construct their stage sets for over 40 performances we have at Minghella studios. I work closely with external touring companies that visit Minghella studios. I have toured in the past with FTT students and staff to Poland for large scale theatre festival. We have toured research productions to Hammersmith in London.

Areas of interest

I do freelance work part of the week for local theatres, such as Norden Farm in Maidenhead and Sonning Mill Theatre. I also have my own mural and commissioned paintings business. I have worked for Wellington Country Park and for local families. I have always been passionate about the arts in any form.
