Responsibilities
Managing the staff of the Media team and ensuring they are deployed in a way which reflects the overall priorities of tasks.
Managing the technical equipment and resources across the media cluster including:-(cameras, film lighting and grip equipment, theatre lighting control boards, editing-specific hardware and software, sound mixing equipment, microphones etc.).
Training of FT&T students in film and theatre equipment, and in professional working practices.
Supporting wide variety of teaching in theatre spaces. Preparing different spaces for teaching and other events, ensuring smooth running of all Department's technical resources.
Supporting Departmental Research through Practice (PAR) (including live performance, film work and gallery installation).

Career History
Started in the TV studio at London Road Campus in 1988 then moved up to Bulmershe Campus and became a member of the technical support unit during the merger of the two colleges. Shortly after I took on the senior technician role for Film & Drama as it was known then, where I continued to work until taking on the extra responsibilities of Media Manager in 2016.
