Background
Sanjay graduated from the University of Bath and undertook his pre reg in community pharmacy. He continued working in retail pharmacy and studied for a post graduate diploma in community pharmacy from Kings College London. Sanjay then moved to working for a Primary Care Group within a Health Authority, which later became a Primary Care Trust. Whilst working for Reading PCT, Sanjay completed his Masters in Primary and Community Pharmacy from Kings and has also completed the Warwick Certificate in Diabetes Care and qualified as an independent prescriber from the University of Reading.
Sanjay is currently Head of Medicines Optimisation at Central Southern Commissioning Support Unit, and manages the service which supports 14 Clinical Commissioning Groups.
Sanjay works within CIPPET at the University of Reading as course lead for the Certificate of competence in Medicines Use Review and course tutor for the Prescribing course for Nurses and Pharmacists.
