The annual Royal County of Berkshire Show is back!

Come along to celebrate agricultural life at this family friendly event on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September. Taking place at Newbury Showground, Thatcham, this event is a great opportunity for a family day out! 

With over 600 stands there is plenty to do and plenty to see.  Whether you are a horse fanatic, farm animal enthusiast, food or craft lover this festival has it all. 

Whilst you are there make sure you visit the University of Reading stand and explore the importance of soil! Unearth the truth of this hidden treasure. Our amazing research will take you on a journey from tales of the past through to the future, as we discover whether there could be life on Mars. Get your hands dirty where you will learn about the small steps we can all take to protect our soils and the environment.
