RECRUITMENT IS CLOSED FOR THIS STUDY

Interested in, Cocoa, flavanols and health?

Diet is an important factor for a healthy life, but there is still insufficient information about the health effects of many foods. An important reason for this is the difficulty in assessing diet objectively; research often relies on self-reported data, and this is often affected by factors such as memory and social desirability. An alternative method uses nutritional biomarkers, compounds linked to specific foods, which can be measured in blood, urine and hair.

We are looking for: volunteers over 18 years, who will follow a low flavanol diet for 3 days and donate a urine and blood sample. Volunteers that will take a cocoa supplement and provide a urine and blood sample.
