Law Careers Fair

If you're interested in a career in Law, don't miss the Law Careers Fair taking place virtually this year on Careers Fair Plus.
It’s a great opportunity to meet employers, network, and learn more about the career options available to you. Helpful and suitable for all students interested in Law as a career path, not just Law students and finalists!
You can browse the Career Fair Plus app to find out more about the employers participating, their webinars and to book Employer 1:1 Chats (details will start becoming available 4 weeks before).
Law Careers Fair certificate
In response to feedback last year, this year participants will be awarded with the University of Reading Law Careers Fair certificate. In order to qualify simply:
- attend our prepare for the Law Careers Fair webinar (timetabled)
- attend two employer panels
- have a 1:1 chat with at least one employer.
Email careers@reading.ac.uk post event with evidence of your attendance – screenshots of your attendance on MyJobsOnline and of your chat appointment on Career Fair Plus.
Employer webinars
Attend panel webinars (26-27 October) delivered by law firms, organisations and providers looking to recruit to graduate schemes, postgraduate courses, internships and placements for a 2022 start date. Many will also be happy to talk about 2023 entry. Find out what they have to offer and experience the live Q&A session.
Timings will be listed in each employer’s profile on Careers Fair Plus and in the ‘live webinars’ tab. Recordings will be available post-event.
Employer 1:1 Chats
We believe our students deserve those valuable one-to-one conversations with employers. That’s why you can book a 10 minute telephone appointment with your favourites for Thursday 28 October (take a look at their availability via the app from Tuesday 19 October). Take this opportunity to give yourself the edge and find out more about the organisation, job role and how to make a great application. Our friendly employers are keen to talk to you. You can book your appointment via Careers Fair Plus and we’ll notify you when bookings are open.
Preparing
Our expert careers consultants provide CV reviews, careers advice and more via webinars or one-to-one telephone appointments throughout the year (bookable on MyJobsOnline).
You can also attend our ‘Prepare for the Law Careers Fair’ session on 21 October at 13:00.

Open the app, and navigate to University of Reading, and then select ‘Law Careers Fair 2021’. This should be available approximately 4 weeks before the event, but might not be fully populated.

All webinars will be taking place online. Book onto sessions on MyJobsOnline to get the meeting link. Please join using your University log in.
Accessibility
Webinars will be recorded, captioned and made available post-event. MS Teams webinars have a live captioning option.
For those who cannot access telephone appointments due to hearing loss, anxiety or any other disability, an email address is provided on the employer’s profile that we would encourage you to use as an alternative form of communication.
