Freqently asked questions

How quickly can DPS do my job?

This depends on the process (traditional printing or digital), quantity (print run), format (single sheet poster, brochure), and finish (special gloss lamination, glueing, stapling etc).

The following is a guide to the turnaround on different items.

Please bear in mind, however, that they are only meant as guidelines to help you plan your work.

We will do all we can to help, but reserve the right to advise you of impossible deadlines and to add charges for 'rush rates'.

Please contact us using the Start a new job form or call 8085 to discuss your specific requirements.

What does printed pages (pp) mean?

When we talk about printed pages, we mean the actual number of printed pages not the number of sheets. For example, if you have a booklet made from 2 sheets with print on every side once folded into a booklet it becomes 8pp. Always remember 1 sheet printed double sided = 2pp.

What do you mean when you talk about quantity?

By this we mean the actual number of items we have printed for you. ie 500 brochures (not the number of boxes that the brochures are packed in or the number of pages).

What makes a job complex?

• Die cutting
• Spot UVs and varnishing
• Laminating
• Embossing and foiling
• Perfect binding
• Specialist paper
• International deliveries
• Collating and fulfilment
• Machine/wet proofs (litho)

Can I include company logos or photographs in my printed document?

Logos and photographs are owned by the company in question. You must always obtain permission to use them in any printed material.
