The Polymer Science Centre launches the EnviroPOLY Programme
to reduce the scale and scope of the environmental impact of plastic and rubber
based materials and produc and, aims to tackle global issues such as:
• How plastic waste enters the environment
• Recycling the unrecyclable – such as car tyres and foams
• Intelligent processing to enhance properties of sustainable
polymers
• Replacement of polymers from unsustainable sources
