The three Heads of School will start their six-year term from 1 August 2019.

Mark Fellowes, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic Planning and Resource) led the recruitment for all three positions. He said "I am truly delighted with all the appointments. James, Carol and Helen have all led their schools exceptionally well during the past year, and have exciting ideas for the future. I look forward to working with them as they seek to enhance the reputation and presence of their Schools in the sector.

"It isn’t easy to step forward in a role like this, and I am grateful to her and everyone who applied for the roles and for colleagues who provided their valuable feedback."

James Devenney said "I am delighted to continue to serve as Head of the School of Law at this very important and exciting time for the School."

Carol Wagstaff said "I am delighted to have been appointed the Head of School and look forward to continuing to work with colleagues across SCFP as we strengthen and grow our teaching and research activities, and to provide a supportive environment in which staff can develop their careers."

Helen Parish said "I look forward to continuing to work with colleagues in the School to develop and promote the Humanities at the University and beyond."
