On Wednesday 15 February, Professor Tom Welton of Imperial College London will share his experiences of promoting diversity and inclusion within universities and beyond, including his involvement with a major initiative launched by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

The session ‘Going for Gold – Just the Beginning’ will take place from 2.00 - 3.00 pm at Lecture Theatre 1, Chemistry Building. It will explore the launch of the Royal Society of Chemistry's ambitious Faces of Chemistry project, which aims to celebrate diversity in the field of Chemistry, as well as initiatives launched within Tom's own department.

Tom Welton is the Dean of the Faculty of Science at Imperial College and is included as one of the people featured in the Faces of Chemistry project.

Using Tom's experiences as a starting point, the session aims to let the experiences and ideas of those attending steer the conversation into areas most important to them.

All colleagues are welcome to attend the event.
