Dr Page's work was given the following citation by members of the Royal Society of Chemistry Council the award was given for her unstinting work in the promotion of chemistry to the wider community and her commitment in supporting chemistry teachers'.

For many years Dr Page has organised science outreach activities for local school pupils and their teachers at the University. She and her colleague, Matthew Almond have also been advocates of the Undergraduate Ambassadors' Scheme which aims to encourage science graduates into teaching, Many schools and colleges in the UK are finding it increasingly difficult to recruit specialist science teachers. Without these teachers, the country has little hope of motivatinghigh-quality students to study science post-16. The Undergraduate Ambassadors' Scheme addresses these issues andis beginning to bear fruit.' said Dr Page.
