Microsoft PowerPoint - An Essential Guide (Level 1)
Aims
This course is aimed at those with no experience of presentation or graphics programs. Users will be shown what PowerPoint can be used for, and how to use its basic features to create presentations and produce graphics.
Objectives
By the end of the course participants will:
- understand what a PowerPoint presentation is, and how it can be used, by running an example
- learn the principles of creating a presentation: including choosing a template, creating slides, and looking through different views
- look at some fundamental graphics package concepts: background colour, inserting a graph, objects, handles, drawing tools
- have setup slide transitions and animations that take affect during the slide show
- see the use of master slides in putting a picture onto the majority of the slides in one go
- know how to print their presentation, and/or associated handouts
Format
One 2-hour hands-on session, with additional demonstrations via overhead projection.
