Guest Networks - Supported Services
This page lists the supported protcols and services for the University of Reading's guest networks. Other protocols and services may work; however only the protocols in this list will be supported by IT Services. Services listed in italic are above and beyond the mandatory services required for eduroam compliance.

In addition to these egress services, the following protcols are also permitted to selected University of Reading servers:
- SSH (Secure Shell - requires authentication)
- IPP (Internet Printing Protocol)
- LPR (Line Printer Protocol)
- CIFS / SMB (Windows Filesharing - requires authentication)
