According to EU rules on organic farming, producers can only use substances and products that respect natural systems and cycles, and protect and improve the state of soil, water and air, and plant and animal health.
The Commission has established a list of authorised products and substances (Regulation (EU) 2021/1165) which it regularly updates.
This initiative updates the list.
