Who will this consultation be of most interest to?

Consultation subject

This consultation concerns eight (8) GMOs that have been submitted for authorisation in Great Britain (GB).  EU legislation relating to regulated products continues to apply in Northern Ireland, under the current terms of the Northern Ireland Protocol (NIP).

Also included in this consultation is an administrative change to the authorisation holder’s details for fifty-one (51) authorised GMOs.

In addition to this consultation, we have also published a joint Food Standards Agency (FSA) and Food Standards Scotland (FSS) scientific opinions document, relating to the relevant GMOs.  We also welcome comments on these.

Assessment of eight GMOs applications submitted in accordance with Retained Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003

Purpose of the consultation

The proposed terms of authorisation and our assessment of the potential impact is provided - see the consultation pack.   We are seeking your feedback on this assessment and any further evidence you may have on the impacts that we should take account of.

This is your opportunity to input on the advice given to Ministers to inform decision making.
