The following is an extract from the minutes of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council meeting held on the 12 February 2019:
The Council decided not to oppose a Commission regulation amending Annex III to regulation 110/2008 on the definition, description, presentation, labelling and the protection of geographical indications of spirit drinks (5144/19 + ADD 1).
The amendments concern the withdrawal of the technical files of a number of geographical indications for spirit drinks, following the positive opinion of the Commission Committee for Spirit Drinks.
