Areas of interest

Dr Candyce Clark has been lecturing chemistry since 2007 and has a passion for Learning and Teaching at University level. Her areas of research include the development of biologically active metal-based compounds and the synthesis of novel ligands for metal ions. This area of research is important in the search of new metal-based drugs in an era of increasing drug resistance seen in many diseases.

Background

Candyce is from South Africa where she did her studies at the now Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth. She has been lecturing at the University since 2007, and has a passion for Higher Education. She has lectured at all stages of Higher Education from Foundation programmes to post graduate levels.
