CAS has produced a new publication to help graduating students in south-east England find their first jobs in small and medium-sized organisations (SMEs).

First Move South East 2010 offers careers advice to students and provides details of graduate opportunities in SMEs, as well as postgraduate courses in higher education.

Funder Finder (database to look for grants) is accessible from PCs on campus. Reading graduates and students off-campus should email careersreception@reading.ac.uk for details on how to access this database. Please quote your student number.

Destinations (Career Management Skills)

Online material for those doing Career Management Skills is available on the Destinations website. Remember you can dip into the site at any time for advice and information, or just to access the web links whether or not you are doing CMS as part of your degree.

Headstart programme

The Headstart programme enables you to build experience, skills and knowledge to help you impress employers when you apply for their vacancies. Events include sessions on helping you to write winning applications, psychometric testing, careers in law, careers in the media, what to do if you have no career ideas and much much more!
