Jeff (small commercial company)
A Research Graduate from the department of Engineering, Jeff is now the Commercial Director of a small engineering consultancy. Though the company is small its clients include large national and multinational companies as well as small companies.
The role involves Jeff in seeking and negotiating contracts for consultancy work including project design, auditing, monitoring the construction of industrial complexes, accident risk assessment, accident and incident investigations. Day to day activities involve report writing, CAD work, site visits and a considerable amount of time spent on the phone networking. The skills and personal qualities needed for the job are self motivation, communication (negotiation, persuasion and presentation skills), report writing, analytical and problem solving skills and creativity.
