What central support is available if you are doing a placement option within your course?
We offer a placement drop in clinic every week day in The Careers Centre - see rota for availability. If you have a query related to the placement option you have chosen to do on your course, or you want to find a summer internship, please come and talk to a Placement and Development Officer. No need to book, just turn up.
As all of our degree programmes are now offering placement options, whether it's a part of a module, a whole module or a year out, we want to ensure that every student is supported in preparing for and finding their placement and also has the opportunity to use their experience to plan for their future career and secure a graduate job.
Who do I contact?
If you are doing a course with a year in industry, you will already have a placement officer in your school who is responsible for ensuring your placement runs smoothly and fits with your academic studies. Our central Placement and Development Officers are here to support those students who have limited placement support within their school, particularly those with shorter term placements. You can also see your faculty Placement and Development Officer if you want to do a placement outside of your course.
Please contact the Placement and Development Officer responsible for your Faculty:
