The Careers Centre runs a number of high profile recruitment events on campus every year - please see our Fairs page for more information.
Headstart is an opportunity for you to stand out from the crowd. View the full programme here.
It offers you the opportunity to demonstrate to employers that you take your career choices seriously. Sessions include CV workshops, finding work experience, interview skills, "careers in...", postgraduate study options and much more!
Don't forget to also have a look at My Jobs Online for further information and to book a place – by logging in you can also have a look at the employer presentations taking place this term.
In addition to the central Headstart programme of events, the Careers Centre is also running a targeted series of events of interest specifically for arts, humanities and social science students and also for life sciences and science.

Attendance - important information
We understand that other priorities, like assignment deadlines, may mean you can no longer make it to one of our events. All we ask is that you tell us by cancelling your booking using My Jobs Online - it only takes a moment to do. This enables us to get an accurate picture of how many students will be there which is important as speakers have often come a long way and given up a lot of their time to come to Reading. Failing to honour a commitment like a workshop booking unfortunately gives them the impression that Reading students as a whole are unprofessional and makes them less likely to target the University in future.
The Careers, Placement and Experience Centre is committed to providing help and support for all students. If you require any special arrangements to access our workshops or any of our services, please don't hesitate to contact us.
