GradSEED - employ an intern and get a subsidy
Are you interested in employing a graduate intern? Then why not take advantage of a new scheme, GradSEED, which will pay you £1,000 to employ a graduate for up to 13 weeks. During that time you will get to see a graduate and although there is no commitment at the end of the scheme we would hope that the graduate is employed. Your main commitment is to pay the national adult minimum wage during the 13 weeks. All recruitment fees are paid for by the scheme. Help and support is provided by the Careers Advisory Service before selecting an intern and during the time of the placement.

Advertising your vacancies
We can help you fill all kinds of recruitment needs - temporary, part time or permanent positions - by advertising your vacancies to our students via this website, and best of all, it's free!
In 2008-09, our Job Shop listings alone received over 180,000 hits. Submit your vacancy now.
Access to students and new graduates
We are in touch with graduates through the web, email and academic departments. For many students, their first port of call in sorting out a job is to access our vacancy website or drop into the Careers Advisory Service for a chat.
Our long-standing links with employers ranges across industrial, commercial, public and voluntary sectors and from small local businesses to multinational organisations. We are particularly happy to provide support if you are considering graduate recruitment for the first time.
Opportunities to raise your profile
We also provide many opportunities to raise your profile on campus through supporting students with their career planning; for example through contributing to the University-wide, award winning Career Management Skills project. See working with students for more details.
Most of our services are free of charge.
