Reading Internship Scheme logo

The Careers, Placement and Experience Centre at the University of Reading recently launched the Reading Internship Scheme offering local and regional small to medium sized businesses the opportunity to take on talented University of Reading students for a 4-12 week paid internship.

The scheme offers employers a number of benefits:

  1. High calibre students from the University of Reading (one of the top 1% of universities worldwide) that bring fresh new ideas to your organisation.
  2. The ability to target students with particular areas of specialism which they have gained from their University course.
  3. A useful recruitment tool, to treat the internship as a long term interview for potential new employees.
  4. Free account management service provided.

Employer Endorsements:

Joy Atkins, Spice Thames Valley Ltd Activities in Berkshire, regarding the internship scheme 1st prize Award winner, Rhian McPhail:

Rhian has made a real difference, which is exactly what we wanted, and we've loved having her around.

Dr. Iain Mosely, Technical Director, Converter Technology in Reading:

Our student did a great job this summer, was capable of tackling a steep learning curve, largely autonomously, and made a significant contribution to the progress of our exciting new product range. I would strongly recommend the internship scheme and we will certainly be happy to provide future projects.
