PY2PS2 Personality & Social Psychology 2
Aims:
To familiarise students with theory and research on core topics in personality and social psychology with individual differences.
Assessable learning outcomes:
By the end of the module the student will be able to:
Describe key areas of research in personality, individual differences and social psychology
Critically evaluate some pieces of relevant research and techniques discussed in lectures
Demonstrate a broad understanding of topics within personality, individual differences and social psychology
Additional outcomes:
Outline content:
Topics include the self; attitudes and attitude change; mood and emotion regulation; intelligence and emotional intelligence.
Brief description of teaching and learning methods:
(a) Lectures on individual differences and social psychology.
(b) Online discussion forum following lectures.
(c) Recommended reading in personality, individual differences and social psychology.
(d) Online assessment of students' understanding of material covered in lectures, to provide feedback on level of understanding and help students prepare for the end-of-term test.

Coursework involves continuous online assessment of students' understanding of the material covered in lectures (30%).
