Centenary Calling

From 11-31 October 2026, our team of student callers will be reaching out to alumni and supporters of the University of Reading. This is an opportunity for us to reconnect, share updates about life at Reading today, and hear about your experiences.

Every conversation helps strengthen our global Reading community. Whether you'd like to hear about the latest developments on campus, learn about projects supporting current students, update your contact details, or explore ways to stay involved, we'd love to hear from you.

If we call, we hope you'll take the opportunity to speak with one of our students and catch up on what's happening at Reading today.

Many alumni tell us that speaking with a student caller helps them stay connected to Reading. Gifts made through the campaign support scholarships, student wellbeing, research and other priority projects across the University.

The University of Reading's calling campaign is an opportunity to reconnect with our alumni and supporters, hear about their experiences since leaving Reading, and share updates on life at the University today.

For those who wish to support the University, our callers may discuss opportunities to contribute to projects that make a difference to students and the wider Reading community. Any decision to support the University is entirely voluntary, and we are grateful for every conversation, regardless of whether a donation is made.

Above all, the campaign is about celebrating the Reading community, staying connected, and ensuring our alumni and supporters remain part of the University's future.

The number we call from is a Reading number starting with +44 (0) 118. Please note that calls may be monitored for training purposes.

We pay our students an hourly rate for their time, but 100% of any donations received go towards the projects you choose to support.
