Important Information
We are currently planning for physical ceremonies to go ahead in the Summer of 2023, the dates of which have been published below. All students expected to be eligible to graduate will be contacted and asked to complete an Expression of Interest process from mid-February 2023. The Graduation Office will then be able to plan and publish the ceremony schedule based on responses to this process. We anticipate being able to release the ceremony schedule and launch the Formal Registration Process from early April 2023 onwards. If you are expecting to graduate in July 2023 but have not heard from us by late-February 2023, please email graduation@reading.ac.uk as soon as possible.
The holding of such physical ceremonies is of course still reliant on any COVID-19 related restrictions that the UK Government, whilst unlikely, may re-introduce at any point. If there are any changes to UK Govt. policy that would affect our graduation ceremonies, we will of course be in touch with our invited graduates/graduands as soon as possible.
We are now able to offer guests with tickets to be seated in the Great Hall for your ceremony (up to two per graduand, requested during the Formal Registration process). If any new Government restrictions are put in place that mean we have to limit capacity in the Great Hall, guest tickets will transfer to ceremony livestream rooms on the Whiteknights campus.
Our Essentials webpages are also being refreshed regularly with the latest information and advice, so please continue to monitor these as well as your University email address (or personal email address for those who have already completed their studies).
The Graduation Team are currently dividing our time between working remotely from home and in our office. In line with the most up-to-date UK Government guidance we may have to move to solely working from home at short notice, which may impact on our ability to provide a few of our services.
