Your graduation and beyond
Graduations take place in July and December. Invitations to those expected to attend will be sent in early April for the July ceremonies and mid-October for the December ceremonies.
Important Information
Please note we have taken the very difficult decision to postpone our summer and winter graduation ceremonies to July 2021.
We will be running a series of virtual celebrations in both July and December to give you the opportunity to recognise all your hard work and achievements. We will be in touch in due course with further information about our plans for the December events.
The Graduation Team are currently dividing our time between working remotely from home and in our office. In line with the most up-to-date UK Government guidance we may have to move to solely working from home at short notice, which may impact on our ability to provide a few of our services.
The University is actively considering contingency measures for all events and activities and we will keep you updated with any developments. Our Essentials webpages are being refreshed regularly with the latest information and advice, so please continue to monitor these as well as your University email address.
As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Graduation Team are currently working in the office on a part-time basis. For the foreseeable future the previous aim to respond within 15 working days will not apply for any of the below requests. We will still aim to process requests as soon as possible. Postal services whilst still running may be experiencing unexpected delays.
- Replacement degree certificates
- Certified degree certificate copies
- Requests for certified documents to be sent to overseas organisations (WES etc.)
- Posting of degree certificate from previous ceremonies
Third party verification requests can still be submitted via the Higher Education Degree Data check (HEDD) service.
Please bear with us at this difficult time.
