When and where to enrol in person
In-person enrolment takes place in the Carrington Building, please visit the Student Services Reception in the Carrington Building to complete enrolment as soon as you can upon arrival to Reading and during opening times.
You will have completed all steps of your enrolment once you have collected your Campus Card. You will then receive access to your university IT Account, emails, Wi-Fi & timetable. After this point university you will have to access to print letters which will confirm your student status or help you to open a student bank account.

- Thursday 21 December 2023 - Monday 01 January 2024: Closed
- Tuesday 02 January - Friday 05 December 10:00- 16:00. Closed daily from 13:00-14:00
- From Monday 08 January 2024: Monday to Thursday 10:00-17:00, Friday 10:00-16:30. Closed daily from 13:00-14:00
What to expect
- At In-person enrolment you will have an ID check done. If you are a non UK/Irish national you will also have your permission to study in the UK check done, this is usually done by checking your visa or Immigration permission documents. We may also have to take a copy for your record.
- Once your ID & visa check is completed, providing all online enrolment sections have been completed you can then collect your University of Reading Campus Card
- The next step will be to log back into your RISIS portal to collect your University username. Once you have your University user name, you will then be able to use this to access Wi-Fi, University email account, your academic timetable (when available).
