Essentials International students International Student Advisory Team Appointments

Appointments

The International Student Advisory Team offers appointments in person, via the telephone or on a MS Teams video call. The adviser will recommend the most appropriate appointment for you.

To make an appointment please follow the instructions listed below in the relevant sections to you.

 

Visa and compliance queries

This appointment can be booked if you have questions about your visa and compliance, for example:

  • Working conditions
  • Correcting mistakes on your Visa
  • Visa application requirements
  • Adding/removing a work placement or Study Abroad year
  • Withdrawal of Tier 4/Student visa sponsorship
  • Checking a translation/bank statement
  • What to do if you have lost your BRP Course changes/suspending studies implications

One of our International Student Advisers will answer your queries in a 25-minute telephone appointment.

To book a Visa and Compliance queries telephone appointment please email immigration@reading.ac.uk with the following information:

  • Your question
  • Your University of Reading student/applicant ID number
  • Your telephone number (including dialling code if overseas)
  • Your three preferred days and times to be contacted by the International Student Advisory Team. You can choose a day between Monday to Friday and a time slot of 10am to 12pm or 12pm to 2pm or 2pm to 4pm (UK time)

You will receive an email confirming your appointment date and time.

 

Visa application and supporting documents check

If you are making a Student, Student dependant, Start-up visa or BRP replacement visa application, then you should have your application checked by one of our International Student Advisers.

To book this appointment type please email immigration@reading.ac.uk with the following information:

  • A copy of all your supporting documents and a PDF of your partially completed visa application form
  • Your University of Reading student/applicant ID number
  • Your telephone number (including dialling code if overseas)
  • Your three preferred days and times for a telephone appointment. You can choose a day between Monday to Friday and a time slot of 10am to 12pm or 12pm to 2pm or 2pm to 4pm (UK time)

You will receive an email confirming your appointment date and time.

An adviser will ring you at your confirmed appointment time to discuss your visa application with you and to guide you through the final steps to submit the application.

If you have a question not covered by the other appointment types please email int.adv@reading.ac.uk with the following information:

  • Your question
  • Your University of Reading student/applicant ID number
  • Your telephone number (including dialling code if overseas)
  • Your three preferred days and times to be contacted by the International Student Advisory Team. You can choose a day between Monday to Friday and a time slot of 10am to 12pm or 12pm to 2pm or 2pm to 4pm (UK time)

We will then be in touch to discuss whether we are able to advise or support you with your question If we can offer you an appointment to advise you, you will receive an email confirming your appointment date and time.
