Primary Teacher Recruitment Event
10 February 2021
The University of Reading’s Primary Teacher Recruitment Event 2021 will be taking place virtually on the Wednesday 10 February 2021. The event will run from approximately 16:30-18:00 with precise timings to be confirmed.
We are aware that many schools locally are finding recruitment of teachers a real challenge right now and as your local teacher-training partner, we would like to help. Our trainees are hugely valuable assets to this area, and we would like to see them carefully matched to schools in the wider Berkshire and Thames Valley area so that they can embark on successful NQT induction years and ‘give back’ to the community that trained them.
We see this as an opportunity for schools and Local Authorities to ‘sell themselves’ to start recruiting! Our trainees will be able to get ‘real’ information and gain confidence that they are making the right choices.
As the Careers Centre at the University of Reading, we are coordinating this event. To request your place, please follow the booking instructions below by Wednesday 16 December 2020. However, the event has been developed and supported by colleagues at the Institute of Education and Margaret Perkins, Mandy Cockayne and Cara Broadhurst would be very grateful for your support in coordinating the response of your local authority.
How will it work?
Adjusting to current challenges, this event will be run as panel webinars. Each Local Authority will have a set allocated time to promote themselves which will be confirmed closer to the time.
