Kitchens
In your hall kitchen you will find a hob and oven, microwave, fridge and freezer, cupboard and storage space for each resident, a kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board, dust pan and brush and vacuum.
You will need to bring your own pots, plates and cutlery.
Not sure what you’ll need for the kitchen? Buy a kitchen pack in advance and it’ll be in your room ready for your arrival.
You can order a standard or induction hob kitchen pack.
Electrical equipment
You don’t need to bring any additional electrical equipment for the kitchen with you as the accommodation is well supplied with all the basics. Rice cookers used in accommodation must be bought in the UK. Electrical items that are for kitchen use must only be used in the kitchen.
Electrical equipment must be safe. Halls staff can check this for you – call the Halls Hotline on 0800 029 1984 to arrange this.
Items not allowed in halls:
- Electric heaters
- Electric blankets
- Air conditioning
- Humidifiers
- Mains powered fairy lights.
Due to the current circumstances, it would be a good idea to bring some additional items with you to halls, such as:
- Thermometers
- Pain killers
- Plenty of face coverings
- Anti-viral cleaning products
- Hand soap and sanitiser.
