Essentials Accommodation University accommodation How can we help Wardens and Hall Mentors

Wardens and Hall Mentors

Each hall is its own community and its own support structure.

In Halls, student welfare, pastoral care, and the management of student conduct and behaviour are the responsibility of the Welfare Team.

The Wardens are members of University staff who live in hall and are there to offer help and support on any matters of concern. They have considerable experience and are an excellent source of advice and support on any academic or personal matter.

Hall Mentors are postgraduate students who live in hall and provide support to the Wardens. They can offer help and support on personal and academic matters of concern.

Wardens are available to see any student on a confidential basis by appointment. To get in touch with your Warden, please call the Halls Hotline on 0800 029 1984.

The Welfare team also plays an important role in the social aspects of the hall and work closely with the Junior Common Room.
