Kate Benyon

 

Position/Job Title:

Executive Administration Officer

Biographical Details:

Kate joined the Vice-Chancellor's Office at the University in September 2016 from South Africa where she had worked and lived on a University campus for 20 years. Whilst there, she did everything from administration to events and faculty management. Kate currently supports the Interdisciplinary Research Institutes.

Areas of Interest:

Finance, events and project management at work. Jigsaw puzzles, books and making her home in a new country.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00

 

Daisy Croman
Position/Job Title: Executive Administration Manager
Biographical Details: Daisy joined the University in August 2013, working first as a personal assistant in the Global Recruitment team before joining the Institute of Education at the London Road campus in 2016. She previously worked as an international event organiser and as office manager for the street outreach team in Reading, run by St Mungo's charity for the homeless.
Areas of Interest: Event organising, teamwork and anything involving cake. Daisy loves singing in the Campus Choir, dancing (Jazz and Charleston) and vintage clothes shopping.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00

 

Immy Jakubek

 

Position/Job Title:

Executive Administration Manager

Biographical Details:

Immy joined the University in August 2016 as part of the School of Philosophy, Politics and Economics based in the Edith Morley Building having previously worked as a manager in the retail industry. She started her career here as an executive administration officer and also held a part time role for one year as an executive support administrator for the Leverhulme Trust Climate Justice programme. Immy has been involved in Athena Swan and the People Plan project board.

Areas of Interest:

People development and project management. Her dog Dexter (the Goldendoodle) is a registered Pets as Therapy dog and they enjoy visiting schools, hospitals and prisons.

Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00

 


Eva van Herel 
Position/Job Title: Executive Administration Officer
Biographical Details:

Eva joined the University in August 2016 from the Netherlands where she was an office manager at a small international business university. Currently Eva supports the School of Humanities. Other activities include being a Member Trustee on the University of Reading Pension Scheme (URPS) board, initiating and running the CMS website sessions together with Sian Walsh and testing of various new systems such as the new Learning Management System for staff which launched in Summer 2019.

She is the Information Management and Policy Services (IMPS) contact and on the Athena Swan committee for the School and attends meetings of the IT forum and the Women@Reading Network.

Areas of Interest: People, change, creativity, the outdoors, and the Progress Theatre costumes department where Eva makes hats but also undertakes costuming for some of the productions. She is a self-confessed nerd when it comes to websites and such.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00
