The Electron Microscopy Laboratory is the University's dedicated microscopy centre. 

The Centre offers Master classes aimed at Year 12 and 13 students to complement the AS Biology, Chemistry and Physics syllabus.  Guided by experienced staff the classes give an insight in preparing samples in a laboratory environment using different techniques such as dehydration, gold coating etc. including sectioning using the ultramicrotome. There is the opportunity to see the microscopes in operation to examine the prepared sample.

Guided tours can be arranged to see the Centre's facilities in groups (24 students maximum) followed by a workshop session tailored to individual needs provided, prior information is given.
