It was to be followed by nearly 7,000 others by the end of the First World War. This was the Model F tractor, the result of development work that had been going on in the US by Henry Ford since 1907. When the War came, the tractor had not yet gone into production but Ford agreed to start making them and ship them over to help boost agricultural production in the UK.<P> P DX207/5
