Please click on the above links to obtain the Programme Specifications that are
available for the following degree programmes at the University of Reading:

October 2005, October 2006
and October 2007

October 2005, October 2006
and October 2007
- a number of taught Postgraduate degree programmes which commenced in October
2002
These Programme Specifications are produced mainly for internal use, although
they contain information useful to current and prospective students. As
the content of our degree programmes is constantly being developed, the
information contained within the specifications is liable to change.
Before October 2002, the formal details of the University’s taught degree programmes were set out in a Syllabus document for each programme. The University has now moved to a modular degree structure for all its Undergraduate degree programmes from
October 2002 and for its taught Postgraduate degree programmes
from October 2003. As part of this modularisation, all taught programmes are required to have an associated Programme Specification, which will replace syllabuses as the formal documentation.
Syllabuses for all degree programmes which started before October 2002 and also for the remainder of the taught Postgraduate programmes commencing in October 2002 can be found in the edition of the University Calendar appropriate to the year in which the
programme commenced. The Calendar is available from the University’s Graduation Office (contact
Zoë Babb, x8117) or on the web, where it is Reading access only:

2002-2003 Calendar
Programme Specifications are intended to provide a standard format for describing the University's taught degree programmes, in line with Quality Assurance Agency and
University
Guidelines. Programme Specifications provide information about the content of taught programmes and also set out:
- the intended learning outcomes of the programme;
- the teaching and learning methods that enable learners to achieve these outcomes and the assessment methods used to demonstrate their achievement;
- the relationship of the programme and its study elements to the National Qualifications
Framework.
